Will Self on Advertising

July 30, 2010

Will Self ….that geezer with the sardonic tongue who’s always on the telly; glowering back at me from broadsheet columns; glued glumly on panels next to Vic and Bob; berating Karl Pilkington for being stupid; or exercising his deep vowels on radio. He’s either chewing on some erudite topic with Tom Pauline or discussing his dark past in a Sunday supplement.

This article offers a titbit on his thougths about the alchemistic nature of advertising.

More ubiquitous as a brand than author, I’ve never actually read any of his books. Probably my fault. This must change. Come the weekend, I will dine out on his last book of fiction with a nice Chianti.
